As summer continues in full swing at Denbies vineyard, beautiful July and early August sunshine has meant that grapes continue to ripen well. Recent spells of rainfall have given the vines useful hydration and lovely healthy bunches of berries can be seen throughout the estate. With temperatures set to increase once again towards the end of the month, our vineyard team are confident for another fine harvest and are hopeful for a dry and warm autumn ripening season. We anticipate starting harvest in the first 10 days of September, with Solaris being the first varietal to ripen and Rondo following later in the month.
The winery team are hard at work preparing our next Vineyard Select still wine, Bacchus 2018, which will be released next month. As our first wine release from the bountiful 2018 vintage, the Bacchus is hotly anticipated! This imminent release ties in nicely with the annual Bacchus Marathon and Half-Marathon taking place on September 8th at Denbies Estate. Running plus wine; what could be better?
We are thrilled to be very close to the official opening of Denbies Vineyard Hotel. With all 10 rooms in the new Brokes wing fully finished as well as our Vineyard Restaurant and stunning outdoor cabanas, we are already receiving great feedback from guests. The 7 rooms in our Farmhouse wing are nearing completion and our Vineyard Restaurant will be open for bookings from 1st October.
