Well done team! Denbies are delighted to have been awarded the CSWWC 2018 Best in Class for Best English Blanc de Noirs.
The Champagne and Sparkling World Wine Championships celebrate the top sparkling offerings across the globe, with entries from 18 countries this year. The competition is known for being the toughest and most well-respected sparkling wine competition in the world, with all wines tasted blind and by origin to ensure medal winners are evaluated within context. Judging is done by three world class wine specialists, including one master of wine. Denbies Blanc de Noirs 2013 was judged to be superior to its other English counterparts within this category as well as winning a Gold medal, a truly impressive achievement. 2013 is the first vintage release of this wine for Denbies.
Denbies Blanc de Noirs 2013 is made exclusively from premium Pinot Noir grapes grown on the estate. The wine underwent 40 months’ ageing on its yeast lees, adding rich brioche notes to the red berry and ripe apple flavours of the wine. Produced in limited quantities, the wine is available at Denbies Wine and Gift shop and online at www.denbies.co.uk, £34.
