Here at Denbies Estate the vineyard is in full bloom, with the vines soaking up the glorious summer sunshine. Flowering has now finished and we have fruit set and good pollination throughout, with our newly-planted young vines growing nicely. The team are working hard to ensure that we make the most of these optimum conditions and things are looking promising for a lovely harvest.
Elsewhere in the winery we are busy disgorging and bottling our sparkling wines, both for Denbies own branded wines and those for our contract customers. We were honoured to receive a Gold medal for our Cubitt Blanc de Noirs 2013 premium sparkling wine at the recent 2018 Champagne and Sparkling World Wine Championships. Our Greenfields NV sparkling was also awarded a Silver medal, which complements its recent Gold medal win at the WineGB awards 2018.
